International Women's Day 2019

The International Women’s Day 8 March 2019 was celebrated at Wanless Hospital Miraj by conducting various activities throughout the day on the theme for this year “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change”. In the morning hours Gender Equality awareness Rally was conducted by the College of Physiotherapy and College of Nursing. A programme was also conducted in the afternoon which included Debates on Gender Equality, Emphasis on Vishakha Guidelines, Recognition of women staff who had achieved excellence in various fields and Poster Competition on the theme. The Guest for this programme was Dr. Mrs. Manjusha Deshpande, Director, Lok Vikas Kendra, Shivaji University Kolhapur who also spoke on the theme of Women’s day. Dr. Mrs. Prabha Quraishi Dy. Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mrs. Mangala Raajput Head Obstetrics & Gynecology Department and Ms. Reena Sanandam Human Resource officer were the organizers for this programme which was inaugurated by the Deputy, Director Dr. Shirish Pargaonkar in the presence of women staff and students of Wanless Hospital Miraj.
